For the five past nights I have dreamed of my Ex. I have a new boyfriend that I have been going out with for 4 months now. I’ve been very happy with my new boyfriend. But I just found out a week ago that my ex has a new girlfriend, which was a shock to me, and so started the dreams… How do I end them?

I need some help understanding this, I have an ex-boyfriend who has done some very terrible things to me, even tho i have realized there is no excuse for some of the things he has done and they were wrong, i can’t seem to get him out of my head. Its been 6 months or more. I have a new boyfriend and i thought i moved on but still can’t get him out of my head. when i look at pictures of him i still get butterflies and things. I just dont know why i keep thinking of him, my mind wonders and ends up thinking of him. I’m 22 and i haven’t ever had this problem the. The Ex wasn’t my longest relationship. Any thoughts appreciated
