I know it’s on your mind…you know you want your ex back because you love him with all your heart and can’t imagine life without him…but you have no idea if he still has any feelings for you, and if he doesn’t…what then? How do you KNOW?

There’s actually a fairly simple way to find out…it’s based on a popular concept of a sort of “Emotional Scale.” Everybody has one, and it ranges from Indifference to Extreme Feelings, measuring how we feel about a particular person. Where you fall on his emotional scale determines a lot of the chances of your success in getting him back…and it’s not too difficult to read.

The theory behind the scale is that love and hate aren’t opposites, but kind of brothers…the true opposite of intense emotion is no emotion, and THAT’s where you don’t want to be. Anger towards each other will eventually die out, but if all emotion goes away you’re in a tough place.

So what you want to be able to see from your ex is response, emotion…and the best way to see that is by looking at how well you two have kept in contact since the breakup. If your ex hasn’t tried to contact you or responded to any of your contacts, then you’re probably low on the scale, near Indifference.

HOWEVER, if he’s made multiple attempts to contact you and has responded to a few of your calls…it means he still feels enough about you to be able to care about you. If it’s an extreme enough case, he’s probably still in love with you…it’s all a matter of scaling his responses.
