Getting back together with your ex is your driving passion, but you don’t know where to start. It might surprise you to learn that the place to start is by accepting the breakup and showing your ex that you have accepted it, for the moment. This does feel counter intuitive, but it is a proven technique in ultimately getting back together with your ex.

First, you need to do a bit of honest, realistic thinking. Ask yourself a few searching questions, like:

a) Will it make me happy?

b) Is the reason why we broke up no longer valid?

c) Were there more good times than bad times?

d) Are we both mentally stable?

e) Was there no verbal or physical abuse?

Naturally, we’re looking for an overall, “Yes,” in response to these questions. If you’re answering in the negative, then perhaps it’s time to look elsewhere.

So, what can you do? Are the things that you want to do and the things that you should do, the same? Probably not. Here’s a few, ‘Do’s’ and ‘Don’ts’ on getting back together with your ex.

1. Don’t pester your ex. Don’t visit, write, ‘phone, e-mail or grill his friends or family. He’s rejected you, so give him space to be without you. If you won’t leave him alone, you’ll give him the impression that you don’t understand that you’ve broken up. It makes you look either desperate, or not very bright. Either way, it does neither of you any good. Your ex will be irritated and you’ll simply be pushing him further away.

2. Never beg him to take you back. After all, if he’s made the decision to break up with you, which is never easy, why should he go back on it, just because you plead? You’re appealing to his senses of guilt and pity. Neither are a good basis for the future. You need to keep your self-respect.

3. Accept that it’s over, even if it’s only over for the moment, and look to the future. Give yourself time to grieve and get on with your life. By all means, examine what went wrong; learn from the experience, but don’t let it take over your life. You’ve had a terrible shock. Take time and face up to the consequences.

4. Get on with your life. Show him that you can get on without him. You will come over as a strong, individual personality and it’ll do you good to be busy and sociable.

In essence, the first stage in getting back your ex is to back off, look to the future and get on with your life. You will become a more attractive person and you’ll feel better about yourself, which can’t help but do you good in the long run. This process will help your ex boyfriend to realize just how attractive and desirable you are and how much he is missing you and it will prepare you for stage two of getting back together with your ex.

what does it mean when an ex boyfriend stares at you but won’t talk to you when you try to talk to him? & if he does talk to you hes very short with you.
he also told my one friend the other day that the only reason he broke up with me is because things were moving to fast.
i don’t talk to him at all anymore. the last i talked to him was for like 5 mins a month ago, but he was short & didn’t want to talk that much about things. so i walked away.
he was the one who broke up with me.

My Ex just left me 2 days ago to go back with her ex who she says she still had feelings for. I was with her for 2 months. She always told me how i treated her so well and she has never loved some one as much as she loves me. But a few times she said we were gonna break up in a text message, I called her and she was always crying saying she loves me so much but she is confused as to what she wanted. A few days later she called me and said we need to break up. (she saw her ex the night before and cheated on me) She said her ex started talking to her a few days ago and she still had feelings for him. Now when i try to text her saying how upset i am etc.. she just wants me to leave her alone. But I really love her, and we both know this other guy isnt gonna treat her right but she said she loves him. She said she doesnt love me anymore.. but I didnt even do anything, I was so good to her. How can I get her back? If she realizes she made a mistake by dumping me, do u think she will beg for me back? I really need her..
